Street Peace 2025




Cease Fire Weekend is a call to pause — to breathe, reflect, and reclaim our community’s peace. Rooted in the belief that violence is not inherent but a consequence of systemic starvation of resources, this weekend of action, healing, and joy serves as a temporary reprieve from the trauma our communities endure. Hosted by H.Y.P.E, Non Stop Growth, The Freedom BLOC and The Akron Urban League , this initiative reminds us that true public safety comes from access to education, livable wages, affordable housing, and equitable investments — not bloated police budgets. Cease Fire Weekend is not the solution — it is a mirror, a megaphone, and a movement.
