The Wellbriety Movement has launched a project called Wellbriety Book of the Month Club.
Our hope is to attract books written by people from our communities, or from people who work in our communities that have extensive knowledge about using the culture for our healing and to enhance the Wellbriety Movement.
Each month, we will select the Wellbriety Book of the Month and advertise it throughout our networks to encourage people to read it.
The Book of the month for December is called “Whispers from the Hollow Bone” by Wayne William Snellgrove.
Wayne William Snellgrove, Saulteaux Tribe, Fishing Lake First Nation. Indigenous Author, Canadian genocide 60s scoop survivor, 2 x USA Swimming National Champion and USA Swimming National Team member 95’. The only full blood Native American to accomplish this feat. Wayne William Snellgrove was stolen at birth from his tribe and culture and given to the Canadian foster care system. 32 years later he reunited with his mom. Wayne has walked the Indigenous spiritual path called the Red Road for over 30 years with his elder Tony StoneHawk. He is the author of “Daily Medicine” an Indigenous based meditation book.
In this second book of daily meditations, Wayne William Snellgrove offers us the opportunity to work with the Medicine Wheel, which follows the seasons and teaches us about the cycles of life. Within this transformative work, we are given the opportunity to listen, see, and move within the Universe, connecting to Creator and catching the words of our ancestors in the whispers of the wind.
Congratulations, Wayne William Snellgrove!
