There are wounds that feel too deep to let go of right away. And so we tell ourselves give it time.
But Ptr. Peter Tan-Chi said something that stops us in our tracks, “forgiveness takes time? That is one of the great lies of satan.”
Forgiveness is not a feeling you wait for. It is a decision you make.
Not when it is easy, not when it feels right but when God asks you to.
He explained it clearly, forgiveness is a choice, to not forgive is disobedience.
We often think if the pain is still there then forgiveness is not real.
But that is not how it works. You can still be hurting and choose to forgive.
Forgiveness happens in a moment but healing happens over time.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:32
So when God convicts you, do not wait for the feeling, just whisper Lord I forgive.
