For many of these young athletes, this will be their last ride in youth football before taking the next step into the high school ranks.

Leading the way is Top Dawgs Elite, the preseason #1 team in Ohio. After capturing the prestigious C1N Championship and establishing themselves as kings of the 12U division, they enter 13U with one goal: finish what they started and cement their legacy.

But the road won’t be easy.

Three consecutive Pop Warner Championships.

Three straight years of proving they’re one of the premier youth football programs not only in Ohio, but in America.

Now they’re chasing something even bigger.

A fourth consecutive championship.

A feat that would cement their place among the greatest youth football teams Ohio has ever produced.

And the team everyone is talking about?

Legacy Tarheels.

Defending National Champion vs. Defending National Champion.

It doesn’t get any bigger than this.

The team formerly known as the Youngstown Bears enters 2026 with a new identity — the Youngstown Defenders. But don’t let the name change fool you. This is the same powerhouse program that dominated Pop Warner National Championship competition a season ago, blowing out opponents and leaving little doubt about who ruled their division. Last year, nobody came close.

Standing across from them are the Bulldogs.

Formerly known as the AYF National Champion Gators, the Bulldogs aren’t satisfied with simply defending a title. They have assembled some of Central Ohio’s top players and coaches under one banner, creating what many believe could be the most talented roster in the state.

Both programs are defending national champions.🏆🏆

Both programs expect to be No. 1.

Both programs believe they own Ohio.

Arguably the #1 9U team in the country, the GTA Gators enter the season with a target on their backs.

Fresh off AYF National Championship 🏆,
GTA 🐊 has its sights set on doing it all over again and proving they belong at the top of the youth football world.

But there is one team that isn’t buying the hype.

🔴⚫️🟡 The Cardinals
are coming off an undefeated season lat year and have a strong argument of their own. Not only did they finish the year without a loss, but they also defeated GTA last preseason. In their minds, they are the true undisputed kings of the 9U division.

The kings of Ohio's 7U division enter the preseason at No. 1, but not everyone is convinced they're the best team in the state.
Because coming out of Dayton, the whispers keep getting louder.

The Hilltop Hawks.

After representing Ohio on the national stage and bringing home a championship from Cam Newton’s C1N Tournament, the Hawks enter 2026 as the only ranked 6U team in Ohio.

Many believe they have a legitimate case to be the No. 1 6U team in the nation.

But every season brings new contenders.

The question isn’t whether The Dream Team belongs at the top.
