🧠 Use voice typing instead of pecking at the keyboard (iPhone iOS 18 and later, Samsung Android)

Tired of typing long messages? Just say it out loud.

iPhone: First, make sure it's turned on: Settings → General → Keyboard → turn on Enable Dictation. Then: Open any app with a keyboard → tap the microphone icon in the bottom-right corner of the keyboard → speak naturally → tap the keyboard icon when finished

Samsung: Open any app with the keyboard → tap the microphone icon on the keyboard toolbar → speak naturally → tap the keyboard when finished (Settings may vary depending on your Android phone’s manufacturer)

Your phone automatically turns your speech into text. It's often faster - and easier on your hands - than typing everything yourself.

iPhone (Safari): Open the webpage > tap the button with three dots in the lower right hand corner > tap the Share icon > tap Options > select PDF > tap Done > tap Save to Files > choose a folder > tap Save

Samsung (Chrome): Open the webpage > tap the three-dot menu > tap Share > tap Print > tap the Printer dropdown > select Save as PDF > tap the Download icon to save > Done. Settings may vary depending on your Android phone’s manufacturer.

Great for recipes, travel info, tickets, or anything you may need offline later.

⌨️ Windows cheat codes: Taskbar apps are numbered left to right, so Win + 1 opens the first, Win + 2 the second. Win + Alt + Up arrow snaps an app to the top half, Win + Alt + Down arrow sends it to the bottom. Need files? Win + E opens File Explorer, and Ctrl + T adds a tab. A few keys beat a dozen clicks.

🔤 Make your phone easier to read with Bold Text (iPhone iOS 16+, Samsung Android) If text on your phone feels thin or hard to read, bolding it can make a big difference.

iPhone: Open Settings > Display & Brightness > turn on Bold Text

Samsung: Open Settings > Display > Font size and style > turn on Bold font. Settings may vary depending on your Android phone’s manufacturer

Menus, messages, and app text become much easier on the eyes.

📋 Hide your follower and following lists

Your follower and following lists reveal far more than people realize: where you work, what gym you go to (if you follow it), your political leanings, and your kid's school.

On Instagram: Your profile > three bar icon > Settings > Account privacy > set account to private (this also hides your follower/following list from non-followers).

Anyone trying to dig into your life through your follow list now hits a wall.
