We will be celebrating local business successes, the 50th anniversary of the Alachua Chamber of Commerce, sharing a glimpse into the future, dining on filet mignon and shrimp, and enjoying a belly full of laughter with HEADLINER Jeff Allen.

Corporate tables are now available and thank you to our Title Sponsor Scherer Construction for the continued support and making this event possible.

Call me if you'd like to secure a table...Mitch 352-538-0072

DID YOU KNOW there are only 2 bridges connecting Nebraska and Missouri?? One of them being what I call 'The People's Bridge' going over the Missouri River, located near Falls City, Nebraska.

This bridge replacement project became part of the most successful letter writing campaigns in American history. With over 1,600 letters coming to the Governor's office in a matter of 2 months time, and construction began only 7 months later.

For decades the communities of the area were told 'NO' to the replacement of the nearly 100 year old bridge, but collectively the people spoke and soon thereafter a new and safe bridge for people and commerce to travel became a reality.

I'm often asked, "what is the most impactful project I've ever led?" Without a doubt, it would have to be 'The People's Bridge' over the Missouri River.

30 YEARS AGO, my dad and I were asked to be in an advertisement for The New York Times publication, called The Source Book.

The ad campaign ran for 13 weeks, and the publication won 1st place in a national advertising contest.

Today marks his 93rd BIRTHDAY and thought it would be nice to remember just one of the many memories I had with him. He passed away 4 years ago, so I guess you could say his "modeling days" are over... but our love for him will never fade.

The picture is not the whole ad but represents the fun we had together.

THIS ONE is really cool!! Take a look at our latest tenant.

Our latest San Felasco Tech City tenant is now producing the equivalence of 3 acres of herbs and vegetables ALL YEAR long. All with less than 5 gallons of water a day and completely run on solar power. A proof of concept that could change the world on how we live and certainly eat healthy. NO herbicides or pesticides either.

Congratulations to Alachua Greens!!

Meet our FUTURE entrepreneur and San Felasco Tech City's newest tenant.

Our tag line: "That sweet potato pie didn't have a chance!!"

What's yours??

All of us at San Felasco Tech City are very grateful for the honor received last week at the Annual startGNV Awards Dinner.

Winning the 'Community Impact Award' is very exciting to us. It validates the hard work of hundreds of people who believed in this project; that a sustainable community can be built while helping over 60 companies grow and thrive.

Rich Bl**er and I are so thankful to those who believed in us, and what most people perceived as a crazy concept that became San Felasco Tech City.

Thank you startGNV for this recognition!
