Crockett County is under a flood warning. The warning comes in regards to levels of the Forked Deer River. As of 6 a.m. the river was at 8.8 ft with flood stage being 9 ft. The river could reach flood level today as the river continues to rise to 10.3 ft by Monday, Jan. 21.

NEWTOWN, Connecticut (AP) — A school shooting in the U.S. state of Connecticut ended with the shooter dead today, with at least one teacher wounded and frightened students fleeing outdoors.
