Just a vehicle full of DJ equipment, a random destination, an open trunk, and a passion for great music.
For Episode 9 of Pop Tha Trunk, I loaded up the gear and headed to The Drip Coffee House in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The weather was unusually cool for early June, with hazy skies overhead and smoke lingering in the air from nearby wildfires. The atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for an afternoon dedicated to underground Hip Hop culture.
Recorded LIVE on TikTok on June 5, 2026, this mix takes a deep dive into Boom Bap, independent Hip Hop, and underground classics from some of the most respected artists in the game.
Along the way you'll hear gems from MF DOOM, A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, Ghostface Killah, Blackalicious, Dr. Octagon, Digable Planets, Del The Funky Homosapien, Reflection Eternal, Camp Lo, Saafir, and many more.
