Hey all, just a quick request for you to keep an eye out for copy cat accounts that are ripping off my wood working content. It's starting to become an issue. I would really appreciate it if you took a second to report any video from someone pretending to be me. Thanks so much!

Joyous news! With my move to Colorado, I've embarked on a re-branding adventure. Gone are the days of "jebwinemakes", enter "Redwine Wood Design".

What exactly does this mean? I'll tell you. First of all, I'm still going to be posting build videos on my stories and pictures of my work. But I'm going to change the feel of my feed and expand into other avenues of internet commerce. Think Facebook, Etsy, and a personal website. My mission is to provide quality wooden goods with a customer experience that is personalized, hassle free, and easy as can be.

I intend to focus more on custom, non-comissioned work; it's what makes me happy and I can really put my all into a piece when there isn't a deadline. That does not mean I will no longer take comissions, I just intend to channel more effort into experimenting, playing, and expanding my creativity.

I'm also looking to venture into creating content on youtube and a newsletter that showcases my build processes. Think videos like my stories, but greatly expanded so I can actually get into the details of my process.

I heavily emphasized educating others when I started this account. I learned how to do all this stuff on my own; it was a rocky journey rife with mistakes. I want to get back to streamlining the learning process to help people painlessly discover an excitingly rewarding hobby.

I've got a busy year ahead of me, and I'm ready for the challenge. My page, business, and skills have grown so much since I started last September and I can't wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Many thanks to .b.kate21 for helping me come up with my new name, and for helping me design this awesome new logo and for being encouraging and inspiring as I take my business to the next level. I really couldn't do it without y'all.

Cheers,
Jebwine

Little fellow sprouted up from my wood pile. I think I'll store honey in here.

Made this jar out of pecan. Pecan is quickly becoming one of my favorite woods for live edge stuff because the bark just sticks like glue even when fully dried. Other species, like oak, seem almost excited to shed their skin. Making a live edged oak piece requires a lot more effort and glue. It's a repetitive process of dry glue, dry glue, dry glue. But pecan, pecan is all right.

Right or left? Mush love from king Morel and his queen of ambiguous identity. Maybe she's an Amanita, maybe she's something else entirely. I don't know, write your own adventure. Just don't eat em or something. That would be a gross violation of intent. They're made for your eyes, just your eyes. Although.. the texture... they're uh, they're pretty smooth. I won't lie.
