I woke up with the urge to bake sourdough bread and go to a Pilates class.
Reality check: I don’t have a sourdough starter, and there isn’t a Pilates class within a 50-mile radius of me.
And oddly enough, that made me feel really uneasy and sad.
Not because of bread or Pilates, but because sometimes you wake up craving a version of life that feels gentle, slow, and aligned and realizing you can’t access it in that moment hurts more than it should.

Let me get this straight you’re protecting freedom by taking it away? You’re empowering women by telling them what they can’t wear? The math ain’t mathin’.

If a woman chooses to wear a burqa or niqab, that’s her right. Period. You can’t scream equality and then sn**ch away religious expression when it doesn’t fit YOUR aesthetic. This isn’t about public safety or integration, it’s about control!
And let’s be honest: if it wasn’t a Muslim garment, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

You don’t fight oppression by becoming the oppressor. Stop dressing up discrimination and calling it democracy.

Lauren Sánchez, a brilliant woman in her own right, former news anchor, helicopter pilot, mom, and now the wife of Jeff Bezos! just reminded the world of something so many women need to hear:

Love doesn’t have an expiration date.

She wasn’t 25 or freshly heartbroken or trying to “start over.” She was already full, accomplished, seasoned, layered, and standing confidently in her womanhood. And still, love found her. The kind of love that says “I see you. I choose you. All of you.”

Oh and she married one of the richest men on Earth.
Yes, sis. She married a billionaire in her 50s.

So to the women healing from heartbreak
To the ones who feel like they “missed the window”
To the ones who are doing the inner work and wondering if love will come

Let this be your reminder
You are not too old
You are not too late
You are not too complicated

You are right on time for the kind of love that aligns with who you are now, not who you used to be

As a Black immigrant, Juneteenth hits different.
I may not be a descendant of American slavery, but I carry the weight of Black history with me, in my skin, in my spirit, and in every room I walk into.

Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom is still a journey. That healing isn’t just personal, it’s ancestral, generational, and collective.

Today I honor the ones who fought for freedom they’d never fully experience and because of them I get to live, dream, and heal out loud.

Happy Juneteenth. May we never forget, and may we always rise.🖤✊🏾
