This gigantic oak tree is near a bayou that floods often. Is it good to go or is this tree at risk of eventual failure due to erosion? Those roots you see at the bottom? Over 6 feet tall from the ground level to where the root makes a 90 turn. Anything y’all might be able to tell me about this tree would be awesome. I think it’s super cool and it’s absolutely gigantic. Impossible to take a picture of the whole thing. The branches extend out probably over 100 feet or more from the trunk.
Can anyone take a stab at how old this might be? That root on the very bottom left of the photo, that takes a 90 degree turn, that’s over 6 feet tall.
