AUGUST IS FOR RESETS & FRESH STARTS
MARIEL VILLARREAL, COLUMBUS, GA

As I've been praying into this month, I feel an invitation for the Lord to "reset." August is typically known as a time of "new beginnings" prophetically, because it's the eighth month of the year. Eight Biblically and prophetically often represents new beginnings! One of my favorite examples is in the story of Noah's ark. There were eight people on the ark that started a new beginning after the flood!

It's time to shake off apathy and slumber and to wake up. If you've been praying for change or breakthrough and it hasn't happened yet, I feel it's time to activate faith in this season again—it's time for a reset.

I also get the picture of jumpstarting a car. If you've been feeling stuck and like you are not moving forward, like a car that needs a jumpstart, then the Lord wants to jumpstart your faith. But it takes action on our part.

Begin to speak and prophesy life over yourself and your situation. Begin to pray and believe that the change is going to come that you've been asking for! He will send the rain in due season. Are you ready?

SPEAK LIFE INTO AUGUST & GET READY FOR FRESH STARTS

August is a reminder that Jesus is a God of "new beginnings"! August is a time to intentionally reset, to prepare for new beginnings, to prepare for a turning point. What words has God spoken over your season that you've yet to see happen? Jumpstart your faith, and prophecy your season to come. A lot can happen in the remaining five months of 2025.

It's time for a fresh start...

PROPHETIC ACTIVATION

Take time to pray, get your Bible and your journal, and spend time with the Lord. Here are some question prompts you can take in your time with the Lord. Ask and actively listen. Write down what you hear the Lord saying.

What promises/words/Scriptures are you speaking over my life in this season?

What areas of my life are stagnant?

What areas of my life are you proud of?

What does a new beginning look like for me?

"Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert." (Isaiah 43:19 BSB)
