In Colorado Springs, employees were surprised to find a mountain lion had snuck into their pet store overnight. Security footage showed it wandering the aisles with ease, ignoring dog food and bird seed, heading straight for the cat toys. 🏪

The big cat stopped at the catnip section, pawed a bag to the floor, tore it open, and rolled around in delight. Though unusual, experts say the scent likely triggered playful behavior, even in a wild mountain lion. 😸

When staff opened the store, the intoxicated lion was sprawled among shredded catnip bags. Wildlife officers safely escorted it back to nearby hills, leaving employees amazed at this rare encounter. 🌄

💔 Chance is still waiting…

For nine long weeks, this sweet hound boy has been calling the shelter home... waiting, hoping, quietly believing that one day soon, someone will walk through the door and say, "Thats my dog."

When Chance first came to us, he had been found on the street in desperate need of medical attention. We weren't sure he'd make it - but this boy is a fighter. With lots of love and TLC, he pulled through, and now he's ready for his second chance at life. ☀️

Chance is just a year old and about 45 pounds - the perfect size for couch cuddles and sunny afternoon strolls. He's a gentle soul with big, warm eyes and a heart that's still learning the world can be kind. He loves to roll in your lap, follow his nose through the grass, and bask in the warmth of the sun.

But more than anything, Chance longs for his person. Someone patient and kind, who understands that love takes time to grow. He's still learning his leash manners and discovering that new things don't always have to be scary. He'll thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe - a place where small victories are celebrated, and quiet moments are shared.

Chance would do best as the only dog in the home while he builds confidence and finds his footing. 🐾

As the colder months roll in, we can't help but dream of him curled up next to someone who loves him - finally knowing what it feels like to belong. 🩷
