Between stray dogs and animal cruelty cases, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society needs more kennels. Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple is working to address that problem.

Albany County Jail will soon be home to 16 additional dog kennels as part of a unique partnership with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. The humane society has 79 kennels, and they are consistently beyond capacity.
