Bruins are leading after first day of North Star Conference Championship.
All five Bruins are in the top 6 individually.
Shotgun start fir day 2 at 12.30pm

Bruin golfers occupy the top three spots on the individual leaderboard as the Bellevue University women's golf team sits 18 strokes ahead of second-place Viterbo University atop the team standings after one round of play at the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship.

The Bruins continue to keep moving towards their collective full potential as a team. Remarkable breakthroughs for EVERY player this week! Tylah had a fantastic tournament with a top 20 finish in a strong field! Allison & Megan bounced back with a 74 & 76 after a rough day 1. In VERY windy conditions, the Bruins shot Spring Season low team score of 308! 💪⛳️ 🐻

Paced by the reigning NSAA Golfer of the Week Allison Temple, the Bellevue University women's golf team moved up one spot to finish in sixth place in the 14-team Susie Maxwell Berning Classic being played at the par-72, 6,000-yard Lincoln Park Golf Club (West Course).

Freshman Maria “Majo” Pinedo fired a 74 today with 3 birdies to lead the Bruins to lowest team score so far of the Spring season. Tylah shot a 76 with a steady play carding 12 pars and 2 birdies and I.Y Ibnu broke 80 for first time as a Bruin. Allison holed out for eagle from 196yds on hole #1 and Megan hit 12 greens in regulation. Round 2 starts at 8.30am tomorrow.

Led by the solid play of freshman Maria Pinedo and junior Tylah Saifoloi, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in seventh place after the opening round of play at the 14-team Susie Maxwell Berning Classic.

It was a very cold day. Another 4 hour delayed start due to cold temps. The “feels like” temp was 28°F at the start and winds were up to 31mph.
However, the Bruins pushed through, accessed mental toughness and played a game of “slow & steady wins the race” and held on to 4th place!!

Too cold for a practice round, 4 hours delayed start today, cold temps, 5.5 hour long round..on a the fantastic TPC Deere Run course..Bruins are T4. Megan and Allison led the team and are T18. A true team effort today.
Tomorrow’s weather doesn’t look better. But the Bruins are ready! 💪⛳️ Scheduled to start at noon.

The Bruins improved the team score by over 30 shots from yesterday. They all made significant adjustments from playing golf swing to playing golf, in the adverse conditions of extremely Highwinds and very firm unforgiving green complexes. Well Done Bruins!

The first day of first competition of Spring wasn’t our best scoring. We were scheduled to play 36. Only played 6 holes before extremely high winds blew golf balls off the greens. 1st round cancelled. Restart round 1 at 1pm, still high winds but got the round in. The Bruins, carried themselves like champions and took into competition many of the “soft skills” we have been working on. Looking forward to tomorrow’s round! (p.s. rental car wouldn’t start after the long day!) thanks to the boys at Pauite Golf Club, Megan’s dad and a random golf parent for jump starting the lemon!)

We have finally started practice outside! Preparing for first tournament of the Spring in Las Vegas! The Paiute Battle on the Sun Mountain Course.

3 freshmen, 1 junior and 1 super senior. And 5 Continents represented.
Solid players, motivated, passionate and competitive. The perfect mix for Champions in Pursuit of Excellence!!

Another day in Bruin Paradise! Ilysia Ibnu will be joining the Bruin Family next semester!

Bellevue University head women's golf coach Shelly Liddick is pleased to announce the addition of Ilysia Ibnu (Taiping, Malaysia), who will join the Bruins and begin her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning in the Winter semester.
