Jared Gordon wants to run it back with Paddy Pimblett at in London š¤ (via )
āIām obviously upset. Iāve been in some dark places before, so this really hasnāt really reached the Ā level that Iāve been to before. Iām still really bitter. But, I believe that my stock went up more than maybe it could have if I won a boring fight or [something].
āI know everyone knows I won. I know I won. The UFC staff, major players on the UFC staff, all the fighters, all the fans, all of the MMA journalists, all of Twitter, the Paddy fans, all the scousers messaging me, āHey, Iām from Liverpool,Ā Iām a Paddy fan, but you won, you got a new fanā. Ā I could like, complain about it and be bitter publicly and salty. But, Iām gonna take it in stride.ā
āI would love a rematch. Iāll go to London to fight him. Yeah, of course. [UFC 286] makes sense. It would be great when I win, Iāll be 2-0. But on paper, 1-1 then weāll have have a trilogy. Weāll see what heās really about.ā
āI had him running around the cage, backing him up. His punches were graze, I have a couple bruises, but his punches were just landing on my hands and arms. I was landing the bigger shots. I got three takedowns, I had six and a half minutes of control time.Ā He had 30 seconds of control time.
āI stuffed his shots, I reversed his takedowns. So, I just donāt understand what world weāre living in that [Pimblett] won. For some reason, uh, my life has always been go through the mud to get to the other side. So thatās apparently how itās gonna continue to go. Iām okay with that because itās all worth it, once I get to the other side, thatās what Iām ready to do.ā
