🎨✨ Chalk Art + Childhood Joy = One Colorful Morning ✨🎨

The Tanoan Community transformed into an open-air gallery in August with color, creativity, and the unstoppable spirit of childhood. Every corner of the neighborhood burst with imagination and creativity from toddlers making their first marks to the confident 11-year-old sidewalk chalk "pros".

🌟⚽️ Meet Cameron⚽🌟

Cameron is one of Tanoan's rising athletes! He is 10 years old and has already made a name for himself on the soccer field as a striker with the NM Rapids.

Since the age of 3, soccer has been apart of Cameron's life. He's dabbled in several other sports- flag football, basketball, junior PGA golf; but soccer is where he has felt most at home.

With three nights of practice a week and seasons that run year-round, his dedication shows—his team has celebrated big wins, including 1st place at the 2024 NM Rapids PowerFord Open and the 2025 NM State Cup. 🏆

Through soccer Cameron has learned hard-work, resilience, teamwork, and a true love of the game. ✨

🍽🌟Rich, Tender, and Unforgettable: Red Wine Braised Short Ribs 🌟🍽

This family favorite was discovered during COVID by Tanoan's neighbor, Austin Megli and his wife. Cooking started as a way to pass the time while his wife worked long shifts as a nurse, and it soon turned into a love for creating dishes that bring people together.

These Braised Short Ribs quickly became a popular request at family gatherings. 🍷🥘 🥘 Slow-braised with red wine, herbs, garlic, and a rich sauce, these short ribs are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the ultimate crowd pleaser.

🐾 Meet Daisy — Tanoan’s sweetest little senior pup with a heart full of love! 💕

Daisy is a 13-year-old pup and a mix of many breeds (her DNA test says terrier, Shih Tzu, Belgian Tervuren, Chihuahua & Italian Greyhound!). Adopted over 10 years ago, she went from stray pup in Kansas City to beloved family member here in Albuquerque.

She is a Type 1 diabetic and bravely handles her insulin shots daily! Daisy is the best snuggler and loves to cozy up next to her humans to soak up the love. 🐶✨

If you see Daisy strolling through the neighborhood, be sure to say hello — she may be slower these days, but her heart is as big as ever. ❤️
