Loni Anderson, the Emmy-nominated actress who lit up living rooms across America as the smart and stunning Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati, passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 79 following a prolonged illness.
Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Anderson defied the “dumb blonde” stereotype with her portrayal of the ultra-capable receptionist at a struggling Ohio radio station. Her character wasn’t just eye candy—she was the glue that held WKRP together, earning her two Emmy nods and three Golden Globe nominations.
A TV Icon

A Life in the Spotlight
Her marriage to Burt Reynolds, sparked by their co-starring role in Stroker Ace, was tabloid gold. Though their relationship ended in a public divorce, Anderson always spoke with grace and honesty about their time together and the son they adopted, Quinton.
Beyond the Screen
In 1995, she penned My Life in High Heels, a candid autobiography that chronicled her journey through fame, family, and heartbreak. She continued acting into her later years, most recently appearing in Lifetime’s Ladies of the 80s: A Divas Christmas.
Loni Anderson is survived by her husband Bob Flick, her children, and grandchildren. A private service will be held at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow.
She wasn’t just a TV star—she was a force of charisma, wit, and resilience. Rest easy, Jennifer Marlowe. You kept the phones ringing and our hearts smiling.
