🎄❄️ Holiday & Winter Break Reminder ❄️🎄
La Luz Early Childhood Center will be closed for the holidays and winter break from Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, January 2.

We’ll reopen on Monday, January 5 and look forward to seeing our little learners back then. Wishing all of our families and staff a safe, cozy, and joyful holiday season! 💫

Since we missed Tasty Tuesday, we’re celebrating Foodie Friday instead! 😄
This week, our children enjoyed lots of nourishing, homemade meals — including this cozy favorite: stuffed bell pepper soup, served with fresh bread and the sweetest cantaloupe.

At La Luz, food is more than a meal — it’s part of how we care for growing bodies and curious minds. Full bellies, happy hearts, and plenty of fuel for learning and play! ❤️

Thankful Thursday 💛

Today we’re feeling especially grateful for moments like these — children gathered around a table, learning together, creating together, and turning simple experiences into meaningful learning.

In Liz’s Preschool class, our students made hot cocoa and took it one step further by writing down their own recipes. From following steps and sequencing ideas to fine-motor practice and early literacy, this cozy activity was filled with intention, joy, and growth.

Thank you to our incredible teachers for creating moments that blend warmth, learning, and connection so seamlessly.
Thank you to our families for trusting us with your little learners.
And thank you to our children, who remind us every day that learning can be joyful, messy, and sweet. ☕✨

Ms. Alex’s Pre-K class is getting into the holiday spirit with these colorful, one-of-a-kind stockings!

Each child added their own creative touch as they practiced fine motor skills, color exploration, and self-expression — all while preparing our school for the cozy season ahead. From bright patterns to bold designs, every stocking is as unique as the artist who made it.

We love watching our Pre-K learners create with purpose and pride. The holidays are officially on their way at La Luz! ❤️✨

😂 Wednesday Giggles at La Luz

Kids always know how to brighten our day — and sometimes, they share way more than we expect! On the way out the door the other day:

Child to Dad: “Dad, I’m wearing underwear!”
Dad: “You’re wearing underwear? That’s good! So am I.”
Child’s brother: “I’m wearing underwear too!!”

Nothing like a wholehearted toddler announcement to keep us smiling.
