How to Make:
I. Open-Faced European Bread Sandwich
1. Ingredients: 1 slice of European bread (a chewy whole wheat or multigrain one is even better), 1/2 avocado (sliced), 2 slices of bacon, 1 slice of cheese, a handful of arugula, 1 egg, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
2. Steps:
- Pan-fry the bacon over low heat until crispy, then set aside.
- Use the bacon grease to fry the egg over low heat until the white is set but the yolk is runny. Season with black pepper and salt.
- Heat the European bread in the oven or a pan until the surface is slightly crispy and the inside is soft.
Stack in the order of "bread → arugula → cheese → bacon → avocado → fried egg," and finish with a sprinkle of black pepper for an extra aroma. Absolutely divine!!
