Hi Lobo Hockey family! I need help with a flag football team I'm coaching. I know I can always rely on the Lobo family. My Los Lunas Ducks were invited to Phoenix to participate in the Arizona Cardinals regional tournament! We need help getting us there! The parents have started a GoFundMe to help! A special message from Josh Carrillo.

Good morning Lobo Hockey Faithful. For the the first time in 10 years, there will be no broadcast on radio and stream for Lobo Hockey. When we started this adventure we were young. Now families have been made, lives have changed and priorities are different now. As much as we love the team and the fans, we have decided to step back this year. With the time and effort it takes to run a stream, the prep hours it took and set up and tear down, it wears you down. We loved every moment we did it though. We loved building the friendships and meeting the players, coaches, and parents. This is not goodbye, but for right now a see you later. We want to thank everyone who supported us along the way. Good luck to Lobo Hockey this year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for understanding.

Our Story

The Lobo Hockey Network started in 2017 with aspirations to do live video coverage of the UNM Lobos Hockey team. Something that had never been done before. Headed by Joshua Carrillo, Produced by Julian M.D. Chavez, and with Brandon Carrillo as cameraman, the Network would do research on how live broadcasts worked.

The first year of the broadcast was filled with inconsistencies, and headaches. Even with the games being broadcasted live with video for the first time, the stream were choppy and very hard to watch with the streams going down periodically. But the Network pressed on, thinking of better ways to run the broadcast.

While the Network was striving to run a better broadcast, the Hockey Team themselves were having a historic and exciting year, reaching as high as the National Tournament, playing against teams they had never faced before, and beating them along the way.

With the close of the 2017-2018 season, the Network did extensive research, fund raising and working out everything they could to run a solid stream. Some of the obstacles that faced them were lack of internet, busy work schedules, a small amount of volunteers and little to no funds.
