Our main man has been invited to be the guest speaker for student-athletes in and around his hometown, and he couldn’t be more excited about it!

“The Wally D Sports Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce that internationally acclaimed filmmaker, writer, producer, director, and former Bloomfield Bobcat standout Justin Hunt will be our Special Guest Speaker at the 2026 Wally D Sports Scholarship Foundation Banquet!
Justin Hunt is an award-winning filmmaker whose movies and screenplays have won more than 100 film festivals worldwide. His films have appeared on major streaming platforms including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Hulu, Tubi, and more. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside Hollywood stars such as Val Kilmer, Jim Breuer, and Joel David Moore, and even collaborated with Metallica frontman James Hetfield on multiple documentary projects.
Before his success in Hollywood, Justin was an outstanding athlete right here in San Juan County. A Bloomfield Bobcat graduate, he earned 11 varsity letters in football, baseball, and wrestling before continuing his football career at Colorado Mesa University. His remarkable journey from Bloomfield to international success is sure to inspire our student-athletes and guests.
