I picked up Pinky, the storage server today from Computer Corner. Two M.2 drives, one system volume and the other a hot swap data drive, six 8TB HDDs in a RAID 0 configuration. started a batch file to copy data from the other systems to it's RAID. Now just to see how long 7.28TB takes to copy. Any guesses?

Just got the station back up. I still have my Pro login, but I don't see any billing activity. Message support to see what to do, renew old or get new. Also, the new GUI wants a donation. Get those questions answered then look at moving box to the DMZ.

Got my RAID box all built, then the power supply died. Got a new power supply, but it don't have the plugs for the 15 year old motherboard. So, I've turned it over to Computer Corner to do a new mainboard, CPU and memory for the system.

Been trying out mini-pcs for replacements of the older boxes. Started with a GMKtec Desktop Mini and attached a 1TB USB drive (SK Hynix Tube T31). Its at the low end for $150. Trying it out for running local production and housekeeping routines so far. I'll be doing product entry with it later, but no heavy graphics or AV stuff. Next I got a KAMRUI Mini PC with a second SSD of 2TB. I'm setting it up to do the public site and broadcast. It's doing little better than the first one for $180. Looking at some Beelink and Blackview Mini PCs for the next one up at around $250. Hope to back broadcasting soon, juggle juggle.

Currently, waiting to get a new computer. Seems the old one doesn't like the new SHOUTcast broadcaster. Well, it is nearly 15 years old. Come to my art show and buy something! Check out Thunderchild.net for show.

Got a new computer. Last one was purchased in 2009. Upgraded and swapped out everything that could be done over the years till it can't be done anymore. Old one is now running just to mirror data and probably become a bot box for SL. New system running good. took a bit to get it built correctly, accounts and stuff. Always fun. Not like having extra parts left over, unlike some vehicles when you work on them - wonder where these extras bolts went. Moving data around to the drives and get them distributed to the other systems. So much easier then replacing relays and vacuum tubes - or bunning your fingers on those hot vacuum tubes. Now, was that the computer or the TV.

Well making artists lists of everything I have two of or more. Finally it made it to the Es. Get to see how many duplicates I have and which ones need to be fixed or replaced, and sometimes that I got way more of one artist that I thought I had.

Been making playlists by artist for any that are two (45s) to multi-albums. Let them play a while so I can see what all I have and note on condition. Finally made it to the C group.
