About the director:
J Diego Gonçalves "Diego" is a Brazilian actor and filmmaker whose passion for cinema started early in life. Driven by the dream of telling stories through film, he moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to study English. The move not only helped him master a new language, but also gave him the tools to grow as both an actor and a filmmaker. Diego moved to Albuquerque, NM in 2022 and since then, he has been involved in a wide range of film productions, working both in front of and behind the camera, where he continues to bring his creative vision and versatility to each project.

🎭 Ron Weisberg is an award winning filmmaker, actor, educator and author from Denison, Texas, where he discovered acting through his irreverent grandmother Gloria. With a BA from the University Of Texas at Austin in acting and writing, Ron followed his dream west to New Mexico and then LA, learning from different schools and techniques along the way.

Living a dream, Ron appeared in over 65 movies as an actor and got to share the big screen with some of the biggest names in Hollywood like Tina Fey, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Jason Isaacs. He most recently played in the acclaimed TV show 1923, opposite Julia Schlaepfer.

Ron trained thousands of actors in New Mexico and online globally, creating a uniquely impactful training ground that also produces movies in advanced classes. After writing The Discovery Technique, Mr. Weisberg is more dedicated than ever to creating work for artists and revealing the power of story to inspire storytellers, no matter who or where they are from.

"This intense micro short thriller was created in an advanced acting class at Story Quest Studios. In the class, actors Lenore Evermore and Frankie Romero Jr. explored different scenarios in the aim of creating a high stakes thriller that put both characters in a danger they never thought they could be in. And we wanted to create a flip of power to where Lenore's character takes control by showing she isn't stupid.

We shot this in the closet at my office to create a sense of claustrophobia, there is no way out for either characters! The colors represent the off putting world of a casino. Life is filled with dangerous and unexpected gambles."
