Memorial Service Tonight for Roger Melone (1943-2025)

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. tonight (June 10), at the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque for Roger Melone, whose four decades of musical leadership in New Mexico profoundly shaped our state's classical music landscape.

As Resident Conductor and Choral Director of The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra from 1983 to 2023, Roger touched countless lives through his artistry and dedication.

His legacy lives on in the music he conducted, the choruses he directed, and the musicians he inspired.

Our hearts go out to Roger's family, friends, and all who were touched by his music. 🎼
