Thanks to LUNASA " the hottest Irish acoustic band on the planet", the filthy mangy LE CHAT LUNATIQUE and Tom Thumb's( OK, FINN'S THUMB)- they won't accept my proposed name change, can't figure why) for a Wonderful festival of great Irish/Gypsy music Friday night at the KiMO. A wonderful crowd too! Sorry I couldn't talk to all my friends! And a special shoutout to MK Peavy for excellent lighting and the Sonic Master of Albuquerque :Andres Martinez for giving Le Chat the best sound they've ever had!!! The man is an Artist.
Talked with Lunasa's agent yesterday. We are looking at the possibility of bring KARAN CASEY (founding singer of Solas and life partner of Cillian's brother Niall) and her new band to ABQ, Santa Fe and Taos AUGUST 2nd,3rd, and 4th. Looking into venues, etc.
CHECK THIS WEBSITE in the next month re KARAN CASEY in August in NM!!!!( The youngest brother of Cillian and Niall plays in Karan's band, the Vallelys are everywhere!)

Hello Everyone! Long time no post.
Only Three weeks until this year's best concert at the KiMo!

LUNASA will be here FRIDAY, Nov. 16th 7:30pm and the best seats are starting to sell fast before most publicity is out. It's been more than three years since Lunasa, one of the best live bands in the world, has been in Albuquerque.You can remind yourselves what a great live band they are by going to lunasa.ie to see some great recent performance videos.
And that's not all. New Mexico's finest, funniest, and furriest purveyors of filthy, mangy jazz will be opening the show., my friends Le Chat Lunatique!!! A great chance to hear them at New Mexico's best venue without all the drunks and ambient bar noise of their usual venues. (They are even better when you can hear every delicious note and bit of hilarious patter. Muni, fiddler and singer extraordinaire, just had a bad scrape on his scooter, and we are all sending him healing energy and wish him a speedy recovery! The TANNAHILL WEAVERS are confirmed for FRIDAY, Oct.5th at the lovely South Broadway Cultural Center, 7:30 pm. $20 Reserved seating. Inducted into the Scottish Music Hall of Fame last year, there blend of haunting ballads with exquisite vocals and rousing battle tunes and as always featuring great Highland and small pipes playing!
Tickets will be available next week through holdmyticket.com and at the door.
And don't forget LUNASA-the band the Irish Echo calls the "best acoustic Irish band on the planet" will be appearing at the KiMo Theatre Friday, Nov. 16th, 7:30pm $25 Reserved seating. Tickets through holdmyticket.com and the KiMo box office by August 1st.

As soon as Muni sends a pic, Le Chat Lunatique's picture will grace Earth Dragon's page as they embody the kind and quality of music E.D.P> will be bringing and they will often open for concerts. there are MANY fine bands in NM but LE CHAT LUNATIQUE IS THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST(and funniest and sweetest, methinks...)
