A man has been mauled to death by a tiger after entering its enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England.

Emergency services were called to the wildlife park near Doncaster at approximately 1:35pm on Saturday, October 10, after reports that a man had entered the restricted area.

The man could be heard shouting “No, no, no!” and “Stop, stop, stop!” as the tiger attacked. At one point, he appeared to sit on the ground facing the animal before it continued its assault.

Police said the tiger attacked the man, causing serious injuries. Despite efforts by emergency crews and medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, including how the man gained access to the enclosure.

The park’s emergency procedures were activated, and visitors were evacuated. Yorkshire Wildlife Park subsequently closed for the weekend while authorities investigated.

Police confirmed the tiger was uninjured and remained inside its enclosure. They also stressed there was no ongoing threat to the public.

The victim’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

The park’s Land of the Tigers attraction houses endangered Amur tigers, also known as Siberian tigers, in a purpose-built habitat designed to allow visitors to observe the animals from a raised walkway.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity or confirmed why he entered the enclosure.

In 2013, Caleb Flynn appeared on American Idol, where he spoke about how much he loved his wife, Ashley, and credited her with encouraging him to pursue his singing dreams. He said that she was ‘very pretty’ and also described himself as a crybaby in this clip.

More than a decade later, the former music pastor has been convicted of Ashley’s murder.

The 40-year-old was convicted in September of nine charges, including aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence.

Prosecutors said Flynn shot Ashley, 37, twice in the back of the head while she slept at their home in Tipp City, Ohio, on February 16, 2026. The couple’s two daughters were also at home.

Flynn claimed an intruder had broken into the property and killed his wife. Investigators alleged he staged the scene to make it look like a home invasion.

During the trial, prosecutors presented more than 100,000 text messages between Flynn and Alleigha Botner, a former church intern with whom he was having an affair. Botner testified that Flynn had spoken about hating his wife and thinking about killing her. Flynn sobbed at many points during the trial and we have included a clip here.

The night before Ashley’s death, prosecutors said Flynn sent Botner a message stating: “I choose you. I’m free. Actions will come tomorrow.”

The jury deliberated for just over two hours before finding him guilty on all nine counts.

At his October 5 sentencing, the judge criticised Flynn for what she described as layers of deceit, manipulation and cruelty.

Flynn apologised to his family but continued to deny murdering Ashley, telling the court: “I am not lying when I say I did not kill my wife.”

The couple’s daughters were central to the emotional sentencing hearing. One described her mother as the perfect person and asked what she had done to make her father hate her so much. The other said she did not plan to visit him in prison.

Flynn will spend the rest of his life behind bars, with no possibility of parole.

Nine people, including a pregnant woman and two young children, are dead following a mass shooting at a home in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Friday, October 9.

The victims were among those found after police responded to reports of gunfire at a home in the 700 block of Perry Street shortly before 5pm.

The eight victims were:

- A 1-year-old girl
- A 5-year-old boy
- A 19-year-old man
- A 21-year-old man
- A 24-year-old pregnant woman
- A 37-year-old woman
- A 44-year-old woman
- A 51-year-old woman

The suspected gunman, a 45-year-old man, was also found dead from what appeared to be a s/i gunshot wound. Authorities said he was related to seven of the victims, while the eighth victim was a friend of the pregnant woman.

Police initially found two women shot dead outside the property. Officers then surrounded the home before entering and discovering the remaining victims.

Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah described the scene as the worst he had encountered during his career.

“I have not seen anything like this in my 28-plus years,” Lorah said. “I’m not sure that the city of Erie has ever seen the loss of life and the devastation that we just witnessed.”

Authorities confirmed that all the deaths occurred before officers arrived at the scene. No further shots were fired after police arrived.

Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the killings, including what may have led to the shooting. No motive has been publicly established.

The tragedy has devastated the local community, with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro offering his administration’s support to Erie officials and expressing condolences to the victims’ loved ones.

A New Mexico man is accused of murdering his wife of 17 years by standing on her chest as she struggled to breathe, then singing and taunting her as she died. Investigators say the disturbing incident was captured on video found on his cellphone.

Jess Patterson, 34, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Lauren Patterson, 36, at their home in Kirtland, New Mexico, on October 4.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Patterson allegedly placed his entire body weight on Lauren’s chest while she gasped for air. Investigators say he could be heard singing and taunting her during the horrifying ordeal.

At one point, Patterson allegedly declared that she was dead and referred to his wife as a “skateboard” while continuing to sing. When Lauren appeared unconscious and unresponsive, he allegedly said “goodnight” before walking away.

Lauren’s 17-year-old son called 911 that evening to report that his mother was unconscious and not breathing. Responding deputies pronounced her dead at the scene.

An autopsy reportedly found that Lauren suffered numerous rib fractures and a ruptured spleen that caused internal bleeding. She also had a broken arm that had naturally healed, according to investigators.

Authorities say the case comes against a disturbing backdrop of alleged domestic violence. Patterson had reportedly been arrested six times on domestic violence charges while living in California. He was also arrested in New Mexico in July over allegations that he battered Lauren, including allegedly striking her in the face.

The arrest warrant also describes previous allegations of abuse. Lauren’s sister reportedly told police that Patterson had beaten her with a baton, while Lauren’s mother told investigators she believed Patterson had moved the family to New Mexico to isolate the abuse. Neighbors also reportedly told investigators they could hear him beating Lauren.

Patterson is currently being held without bond at the San Juan County Adult Detention Center.

He has been charged with first-degree murder.

Nine people, including two children, have died following a shooting and standoff at a home in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Friday night. The suspected gunman was among the dead.

Police said officers discovered the suspected shooter inside the property at 722 Perry Street with what appeared to be a s/i gunshot wound. Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Officers were called to the 700 block of Perry Street at around 5pm after receiving 911 reports of shots being fired outside a residence.

Witnesses reportedly saw a man firing a handgun outside before entering the home. Two women were initially found dead in the street.

Erie police and the department’s SWAT team surrounded the property as the incident developed into a standoff. Officers repeatedly used a loudspeaker to urge the man to surrender.

Further gunshots were heard during the standoff. Police later entered the home and discovered additional victims in different areas of the residence, including children.

Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah described the scene as one of the most difficult and heartbreaking his officers and investigators had encountered.

Mayor Daria Devlin called the incident a “terrible tragedy” and said the situation had been contained, offering condolences to the victims’ families and everyone affected.

Authorities have not released the identities of those killed or disclosed a possible motive.

Police and the Erie County Coroner’s Office remained at the scene late Friday night as investigators worked to establish the circumstances surrounding the shootings.

Officers who responded to the incident are also being offered counselling following what they encountered.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Three men have been found guilty of murdering Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and their American friend, Jack Carter Rhoad, during a surfing trip to Mexico in April 2024.

A judge in Ensenada, in the state of Baja California, delivered the verdict on Friday following a five-week trial.

Jesús Gerardo García, known as “El Kekas”, Irineo Francisco and Ángel Jesús were convicted of the killings, as well as armed robbery and carjacking.

The three victims had travelled to Mexico’s Pacific coast for a surfing and camping trip. They were reported missing after arriving near Punta San José, approximately 80 kilometres south of Ensenada.

Their bodies were discovered on May 3, 2024, inside a well. Investigators determined the men had been shot.

During the trial, the court heard disturbing details about the attack. García’s former partner, who was previously sentenced to 20 years in prison for her role in related robbery offences, testified that García had confessed to arriving at the victims’ campsite with a handgun.

The court also heard that the victims handed over their belongings and pleaded for their lives, but were killed regardless.

Jake and Callum’s parents, Martin and Debra Robinson, travelled from Australia to attend the trial. Before the verdict, Debra asked the court to impose the maximum possible punishment on those responsible for the deaths of her sons and their friend.

The three men remain in custody. Their final sentences are expected to be announced in the coming days, with prosecutors seeking lengthy prison terms.

UPDATE - FOUND SAFE.

The mother of social media influencer Woah Vicky has been reported missing after nearly two weeks without contact, prompting an investigation by Miami police.

Carla Elaine Johnson, 64, travelled by bus from Atlanta to Miami to visit her daughter, whose real name is Victoria Rose. Vicky, 26, says she has been unable to locate her mother since being released from jail in late September.

“I can’t find her anywhere, nobody can, and her phone is turned off,” Vicky wrote on social media, appealing for information about her mother’s whereabouts.

Miami police confirmed a missing-person report was filed on Thursday, October 8. Johnson was believed to have last been seen in Miami’s Midtown or Overtown areas.

Her disappearance follows an alleged altercation between mother and daughter. Vicky was arrested on September 25 and charged with misdemeanor battery.

According to a police report, Johnson told officers her daughter had placed her hands around her neck during an argument. Johnson also sought police assistance to retrieve her belongings from Vicky’s home, where she had been staying during her visit. Officers reportedly observed bruising on Johnson’s arms.

Vicky acknowledged that an argument had taken place but denied assaulting her mother.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed whether the alleged altercation is connected to Johnson’s disappearance. Police are continuing to investigate as concerns grow over her whereabouts.

Elena Moore, whose body was found in a wooded area in Lexington County, South Carolina, on June 17, died from complications of a heart condition, the coroner confirmed on October 9.

Coroner Margaret Fisher said an autopsy found no evidence of traumatic injuries, sexual assault or strangulation. Moore’s husband, Brandon Slice, was never considered a suspect or person of interest.

Moore had experienced irregular heartbeats since age 14 and was later diagnosed with cardiac dysrhythmia, sinus tachycardia and hypertension.

On June 5, emergency personnel found her sitting outside someone’s door, complaining of chest pain and displaying an altered mental state. She was taken to hospital before being involuntarily committed to an inpatient mental health facility.

Moore was discharged on June 11. Although her husband offered to collect her, the facility arranged a taxi, which dropped her at a CVS where she had previously worked.

She left on foot and was later seen on surveillance footage near Planet Fitness and a Publix. Her last recorded sighting was crossing North Lake Drive near Old Cherokee Road on June 11. Investigators believe she died shortly afterwards.

Fisher said Moore had gone an extended period without her prescribed heart medication. High temperatures and possible dehydration may also have worsened her condition.

Toxicology testing recorded an alcohol level of 0.089, although investigators could not determine how much was attributable to alcohol consumption versus decomposition.

A forensic pathologist reviewed the autopsy and Moore’s medical history before ruling that she died from complications of cardiac dysrhythmias with premature ventricular contractions. The manner of death was classified as natural.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division assisted with the investigation and agreed with the findings. Fisher referred questions about whether the case was officially closed to SLED. Moore’s family consented to the release of her medical information.

Celebrity Plastic Surgeon Gunned Down Inside His Marbella Clinic — 18-Year-Old Arrested as Investigators Probe Possible Murder-for-Hire

Dr. Alexander Aslani, a 57-year-old internationally renowned plastic surgeon who treated celebrities, was shot and killed inside his own clinic in Marbella, Spain, in what investigators are examining as a possible contract killing.

The shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, at Cirumed Clinic. According to Spanish media reports, a masked gunman dressed in black entered the clinic while patients were present, went directly to Aslani’s consultation room and opened fire at close range. The surgeon was reportedly treating a patient when the attack occurred.

Aslani suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Paramedics found him alive, but he died from his injuries.

His wife, Jeannine, who runs a beauty business next door to the clinic, was reportedly among those who raised the alarm and screamed for help after the shooting.

An 18-year-old Swedish man was arrested the following day. According to SUR, the suspect has admitted to carrying out the killing. Investigators are now working to establish whether someone hired him and who may have ordered the attack.

One of the leading theories reportedly involves a dispute with a dissatisfied cosmetic surgery patient. According to Spanish media, a client sent threatening messages to the clinic in the hours before the shooting, demanding a refund over a cosmetic procedure. The same client’s partner had allegedly visited the premises about a week earlier to complain and issue warnings to staff.

Investigators are examining whether the dispute may have led to a revenge attack. However, authorities have not publicly established a definitive motive, and the reported patient dispute has not been proven to be connected to the killing.

The gunman’s reported escape has also raised questions about possible accomplices. According to SUR, the attacker fled on a dark-colored motorcycle, while another individual allegedly left the area in a black Audi. Investigators are working to determine whether anyone else helped facilitate the attack.

Aslani was a major name in the cosmetic surgery industry, with more than 25 years of experience, over 15,000 procedures reportedly performed during his career and approximately 200,000 Instagram followers. His clinic attracted patients from more than 40 countries, and he was particularly well known for Brazilian butt lifts (BBLs), including a technique known as the “Supercharged BBL.”

He had also treated British reality television personalities, including The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Sims and Love Island personality Hannah Elizabeth.
