Hera is accused of being the traitor in the group.

Lifelong treasure hunting sisters Hera and Athena embark on a journey to find the legendary treasure of Blackbeard the pirate. A wealthy private client has summoned them to Virginia to gather the treasure of Blackbeard. Along the way they encounter mystical relics and energies causing each other confusion on their journey. After the sisters discover they are no longer alone, they have to use their wits and brawn to outwit and outmaneuver their murderous rivals.

Another treasure piece to look for in the movie!

The Zia Pueblo is situated atop a basalt mesa in north-central New Mexico comprised of Keresan-speaking Indians who have continuously occupied the site since the 13th century.

After scouting endlessly for the perfect location we landed right here at the Zia Pueblo during the scorching hot Summer days of the desert in New Mexico. The Pueblo is over 600 years old and an absolute treasure piece! For more info visit https://www.ziapueblo.org/

This was a challenging shoot and our team pushed extra long days battling lightning strikes, spotty rain cycles and conserving our electricity and water as driving to a store nearby was not an option.

Behind The Scenes

A real piece of treasure in the movie

After a long week of unpredictable stormy weather in Virginia the team had to get creative and look for a location that would replace the original shooting location in Virginia.

After visiting the Luna Mansion we were sold! This historic mansion is now a family restaurant in Los Lunas where locals and tourists can reserve a table and have a wonderful night out in a piece of New Mexico history!

Given its beauty and family history dating back to some of the earliest known settlements in New Mexico, it fit well with the vision and our story line by adding a much bigger "clue" to look for when watching Sierra Sisters The Hunt For Blackbeard's Treasure.

Filming in the wine cellar was a tight squeeze and the basement didn't favor the odds for the cast and crew, but the cellar's history couldn't be left out!

Dusty coves, squeaky wooden doors, wine bottles and corks? Treasure hunting at its finest!
