This honestly might be the hardest part of homeschooling πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

How do you keep different grade levels engrossed in their learning/playing and not bothering each other while homeschooling?

Picture Book Biographies for Sunday Book Club this week!

It’s still Women’s History Month and these picture book biographies are about two amazing women - those who fought for others and who fought to show others that women can do anything!

πŸ“š Dolores Huerta: A Hero to Migrant Workers by Sarah Warren
πŸ“š Faiza is a Fighter by Debasmita Dasgupta

And if you follow me I know you love good book recommendations, so you have to check out my friends’ recommendations this week too. Soooo many great books!

πŸ“š 1000 Books Before Kindergarten πŸ“š

We’re doing the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program again with my youngest, and I forgot how easy it can feel.

Our library has the 1000BBK backpacks that have 10 books in each, so instead of always picking books out one by one, we just grab one backpack and go. It keeps us reading new books without overthinking it.

We did part of the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program when my oldest was little, and now I get to do it again with my 3 year old.

A few things that helped us with the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program:
β€’ Use a printable tracker or the official log sheets to keep it visual
β€’ Don’t overthink the number, it adds up faster than you expect
β€’ Repeating books still counts, which makes it easier on busy days
β€’ Set a small goal like 2-3 books a day instead of focusing on 1000
β€’ Let your kids help track, it keeps them excited to keep going

If reading more with your kids has been on your mind, this is such a simple way to start.
