👾🕶 Sandbox VR has unveiled Stranger Things: Catalyst, a location-based VR adventure timed to drop around the November premiere of the show’s fifth and final season. Up to six friends will suit up in motion-capture rigs and haptic vests at Sandbox VR venues worldwide to explore Hawkins landmarks, unleash special abilities, and battle creatures spilling out of the Upside Down. CEO Steve Zhao says the goal is to let fans “physically step into the story” they’ve followed on Netflix.
