BEARCATS REPEAT AS STATE CHAMPS!

GAME RECAP:

FIRST INNING: Score is 0-0. Aledo leaves one stranded at second base after a base hit and steal in the top of the first inning. Score is 0-0. Aledo leaves one stranded at second base after a base hit and steal in the top of the first inning.
Aledo pitcher Lucas Nawrocki sat them down three up and three down heading into the second inning.

SECOND INNING: Connor Whitmire drove in one run on a fielder's choice out with the bases loaded. The Bearcats leave two stranded on third and second base.
Bearcats overcome two fielding errors at first base with one out as Nawrocki strikes out and then induces an infield pop up to get out of the second inning.

THIRD INNING: Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the bottom of the third inning. Landon Barnes ground ball to third base resulted in an error that allowed one run to score. Lucas Nawrocki then drove Barnes in on an RBI single. Lake Creek changed pitchers. No runners left on base after a double play and fly out to center field.
Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the top of the fourth inning. Nawrocki retires the side with no issue as his defense makes routine fielding plays in the field.

FOURTH INNING: Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the bottom of the fourth inning. The Bearcats leave one runner on at first base following a two out single.
Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the top of the fifth inning. Nawrocki retires all three Lake Creek batters as his defense made the routine outs.

FIFTH INNING:
Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Bearcats fail to get any runner on base as Lake Creek get the routine outs in the field.
Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the top of the sixth inning. Lake Creek loaded the bases with one out on walks, leading to Dane Browne to pitch in relief. He induced two pop flys to get out of the inning unscathed.

SIXTH INNING: Score is 3-0 Aledo heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. Lake Creek turns an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded to prevent the Bearcats any runs.
Score is 3-1 Aledo heading into the top of the seventh inning. Lake Creek hit a solo home run to left field. The Lions left two stranded on first and second base.

SEVENTH INNING: Score is 3-1 Aledo heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. Bearcats leave two runners stranded on first and second base following two drawn walks.
Aledo wins 3-1. Garrett Love in to pitch for Bearcats. Lake Creek leaves one base runner on first base.

The Aledo Bearcat baseball team had its state send-off today. Aledo plays Montgomery Lake Creek at 4 p.m. on June 5 at Dell Diamond Field in Round Rock.

Data centers are a hot topic in Parker County and around Texas, with residents in affected areas often being taken by surprise that a data center could spring up in their vicinity.

Information and disinformation are both making their way onto social media. To address the need for information, the Parker County Commissioners Court is stepping in.

The Court will convene a special called meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of industrial data center developments and their potential long-term impacts on local infrastructure, water resources, and the Texas power grid.

Aledo baseball wins game two against McKinney North 7-6 today, winning the state semifinal series 2-0. The Bearcats will play the winner between Lake Creek and Rouse at 4 p.m. on June 5 at Dell Diamond Field in Round Rock for the 5A Division I state championship.
