Well not as good of a finish as I would have liked. But rewind to my first MLF season and now present day and I’ve come a long way. When I first started if I caught one keeper in an event I was excited. Now present day to finish 28th in a field of 108. It’s a win for me. To all my fellow anglers who I’ve met along the way thank you also for helping me get better. Practice in anything and doing your homework is needed along with hours of hard work. But most of all thank you to my beautiful wife Cindy Jacobsen she’s my biggest fan and best friend. She made my day when she called after the event and said wow look how far you’ve come from where you were congratulations babe and I love you. She made me feel like I’d won and from where I was to now in the beginning I never had a double digit bag. I love tournaments and it’s not the money I want one of those MLF trophies and goal is set I’ll have one eventually. If you look first season I caught 7 fish total I almost passed my first season in one day lol.

Not what I expected today. The practice over the past couple trips and Mother Nature throws in a cold front mixed with rain and you get a muddy trashed lake. What I prepared for well I couldn’t do but that’s how the jig bounces. Well this 4.93 is what bouncing a jig does gets you. Well I may not have finished real high but she was a good consolation prize personally. I’ll be glad to get my boat back so I can have my rods and lures for the instant need to adjust. Well it was a 109 boat field and it took less than 20lbs to win says everyone had to adjust. Well next attempt will be on the 11th. But a day on the water is better than no days on the water.
