Being a small business owner is hard. I have the choice of making an income and being able to support my family or turning the vision of my dreams into a palpable reality. Unfortunately, I cant' have both. That is my reality.

No matter how hard I have tried under this beautiful sun, none of my efforts have translated into sales or even an interest in my work. I have sold fewer than 30 magazines since I began in 2021. Is it worthwhile to knock myself into such extreme exhaustion that everything becomes a struggle? Any sane person would have quit this magazine the very first year I started. I did not and will not. At least not yet.

I'm no quitter. I might be late turning in my work, but I will succeed. The visions in my heart are stronger than anything else out there. And I will figure out a way to survive financially. God always has my back anyway. I'm protected 24/7. With my artistic visions intact.

Spent the day in Baltimore on a little job. Great opportunity to meet people and walk around this beautiful city!

I'm taking a trip to Howard County, Maryland on September 19 and decided to send a few quick e-mails to elementary schools in both Howard County and Montgomery County to see if they would like a donation of clean recyclables for Trash to Treasure art and STEM / STEAM programs. This has always been one of my favorite ways to support local schools.

The last two weeks, I have been so sick. I had a very bad cold that bordered into coronavirus. I experienced two migraines and dizziness. Yet, through it all, I still created daily dances because the show must go on. I worked my 9-5 day job and still managed to fulfill my obligations as a mother, though my writing not so much … despite all of this, I dare not complain because I still have it all. I am always blessed.
