What happens after the battle is over?

Many believers know what it means to endure hardship, survive disappointment, walk through grief, or wait on God through uncertain seasons. But what happens next? How does God restore, recommission, and prepare His people for the assignments ahead?

This week, as we continue through the One Year Bible, we will follow David through the closing chapters of 2 Samuel, witness the resurrected Christ appear to His disciples, and watch the birth of the Church unfold in the book of Acts.

June Theme: Jehovah Nissi β€” The Lord Our Banner
Throughout June, we will study the powerful name Jehovah Nissi, first revealed in Exodus 17 after Israel's victory over Amalek. God is not only the One who gives victoryβ€”He is the Banner under which His people gather, the One who leads them through every battle, and the Master Builder who continues shaping lives for His glory.

This Week's Readings
πŸ“– 2 Samuel 18–24
πŸ“– John 20–21
πŸ“– Acts 1–3
πŸ“– Psalms 119–123
πŸ“– Proverbs 16

Whether you are joining us for the first time or have been studying with us throughout the year, we invite you to open your Bible and discover how God's Word continues to transform lives.
The battle may be behind you, but God's purpose for you is still ahead.

Have you ever felt like God gave you a promise but forgot to give you a timeline?

The disciples knew Jesus was alive. They knew God was moving. They knew something incredible was coming.

But first, they had to wait.

Acts 1 reminds us that waiting is not wasted time in the Kingdom of God. God often does His deepest work in seasons that appear quiet. While we are looking for movement, He is strengthening the foundation.

Today, ask yourself:

Am I trusting God's timing, or am I only trusting His promises?

πŸ“– Tuesday's Reading:
2 Samuel 20:14–21:22
Acts 1:1–26
Psalm 121:1–8
Proverbs 16:18

What does it actually cost when a Kingdom writer ignores their calling? Not in theory, but in the stories left unwritten, the readers left unreached, and the purpose left unfulfilled?

In this video, we're examining the hidden costs of ignoring your God-given assignment as a Christian writer. Because the decision to delay, dismiss, or abandon your calling doesn't just affect youβ€”it affects every reader who needs what your story offers.

Whether you're writing Christian fiction, a memoir, or secular books, this conversation will challenge you to look honestly at what's at stake when Kingdom writers stay silent. We'll explore what gets lost when writers trade their calling for comfort, why the cost of silence is higher than most Christian authors realize, and how to reclaim the purpose God has embedded in your writing assignment.

If you recognize the weight of what you carry and you’re ready to stop treating your calling like an option, this video is for you.

Have you ever felt like your mistakes disqualified you from God's purpose?

Peter denied Jesus three times. Yet when Jesus met him on the shore, He didn't remind Peter of his failureβ€”He reminded him of his calling.

Many of us believe God forgives us, but we struggle to believe He still wants to use us.

Tuesday's Bible study helps us remember that God's grace does more than cover our past. It restores us for His purpose.

The enemy wants your failure to become your identity.

Jesus wants your restoration to become your testimony.

What if the story you keep putting off is the one someone desperately needs to read?

Here's something we don't talk about enough: ignoring your calling as a Kingdom writer doesn't just affect you. Every time you delay, dismiss, or give up on the assignment God has placed on your heart, there's a cost. Stories go left unwritten. Readers are left unreached. Purpose is left unfulfilled.

And that cost is higher than most of us realize.

Join Lisa on TUESDAY, June 2nd at 3 PM EST for a convicting and compassionate episode of Live with Lisa that will remind you why your God-given assignment is too important to ignore!

In this session, you'll discover:
βœ… The real cost of delaying your calling as a Kingdom writer
βœ… Why dismissing your assignment affects more than just you
βœ… What it looks like to finally say YES to the work God has called you to do

This isn't about guilt, but it IS about the importance of obedience. God didn't give you that story by accident. Someone is waiting for what only YOU can write.

Have you ever experienced a victory that didn't feel victorious?

David won the battle, but he mourned the loss of his son. Mary stood before an empty tomb but was still weeping. Thomas heard that Jesus was alive but struggled to believe.

Monday we see how God often meets us in the middle of our grief, confusion, and disappointment. Before He moves us into our next assignment, He restores our hearts.

The battle may be over, but God is not finished with your story.

πŸ“– Monday's Reading:
2 Samuel 18:1–19:10
John 20:1–31
Psalm 119:153–176
Proverbs 16:14–15

Jesus is not losing.
He is redeeming.
Every wound.
Every failure.
Every hidden shame.
Every consequence.
Every fractured place we witnessed throughout this week ultimately points toward humanity’s need for redemption through Christ.
