Hey Central Louisiana families and ballplayers!

I’m Blade Barrett — owner and head coach of my baseball and softball training program right here in Natchitoches, LA. While this page is new, I’ve been training and coaching athletes ages 5–18 for the past two years, and I’m excited to keep growing this community!

A little about me:
I’m a former high school pitcher and was honored to be named Pitcher of the Year my senior season. I spent 5 years playing for elite showcase teams across Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia, and had the chance to compete against some of the top high school programs in the state. I was blessed to receive offers to play at the next level, but made the tough call to focus on my future in orthopedic medicine — while still staying close to the game I love through coaching.

Whether your athlete is just getting started or looking to level up their game, I bring real playing experience, one-on-one coaching, and a passion for development to every session. Let’s build skills, confidence, and a winning mindset together!

🍂🌎 Today on Indigenous Peoples Day, we honor the rich history and enduring spirit of the original inhabitants of the Alexandria area. From the Pascagoulas and Caddoans to the Avoyel Indians, often referred to as "little Taensas,"our area has been home to a mosaic of cultures and languages.

As we reflect on the history of these communities, let's celebrate the contributions and vibrant cultures who have shaped Alexandria across centuries.💛🏞️
