Three New Honorees Added to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026

The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame has announced three additional honorees joining the Class of 2026 — recognizing excellence in leadership and sports journalism across the state.

🏀 Kathy Holloway — A trailblazing high school sports administrator and championship basketball coach, Holloway built her legacy at Tioga High School and becomes the 2026 recipient of the Dave Dixon Louisiana Sports Leadership Award, honoring her decades of impact on prep athletics at the state and national level.

📝 Gil LeBreton — A New Orleans native and LSU graduate, LeBreton built his early career covering Louisiana sports before spending 37 years as an award-winning columnist for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He remains the only journalist named Sportswriter of the Year in both Louisiana and Texas.

🎙️ John James Marshall — A Shreveport sports media mainstay, Marshall has shaped generations of fans through award-winning reporting, sports radio, broadcasting, and journalism education across northwest Louisiana.
