Just in from the City of Glenwood:

The City of Glenwood is declaring a snow removal period (snow emergency) beginning December 10th at 12:00AM.

No parking is allowed on any city streets, avenues, or alleyways until streets have been plowed curb-to-curb. Plows will be out at 4:00AM.

The CenterPoint Energy crews are on their way to begin gas restoration. Again, those impacted must be home or have left permission for them to enter their homes.

From Carlos Mayor Ronna Berghoff: CenterPoint is nearly finished with the shut-offs. Once complete, they will need to purge the lines, which will take about an hour and a half. Residents can expect to start seeing CenterPoint crews dispersed throughout the area for turn-ons beginning around 7 PM. They have a significant fleet in place to help move this process along efficiently and smoothly.

A reminder that you must be home for services to be turned back on, or have a plan in place for allowing them entry.

Thank you all for your continued patience and cooperation as we work through this together.

Space heaters are still available at the Carlos City Office at 109 First Street, and residents are welcome to stop in if you need to warm up.

CenterPoint crews are on scene and will begin work to reconnect gas when it arrives around 4 p.m. today. People will need to be home. Carlos City Hall remains open for people in need of warmth.
