“I ignore or forget God when everything is going well in my life.”

If I’m honest… this has been a pattern in my past, even as a Christian.

When there’s no pressure, no urgent need, no reason to cry out…

Life feels stable… and without realizing it, we start relying more on ourselves than on Him.

But then something shifts.

Challenges come. Stress builds. Things don’t go the way we expected.

And suddenly… we remember.

Not just in words; we come back.

This has been my life.

“I’ve run from my Father… I’ve run back again.”

That line is not just music.
It’s a cycle I know many of us live through.

But lately, I’ve been seeing something differently:

God doesn’t just allow those moments; He uses them.

At least in my own experience, He has used them not to push me away, but to draw me closer than I was before.

“I’ve run from my Father… I’ve run back again
Time after time after time…
One thing I have found—
I rise when I lay it down.”

That hits differently when you’ve lived it.

“Lord, have Your way in my life…
in my heart, in my soul, in my mind…”

That prayer sounds simple… until it means letting go of control.

Letting go of the version of life where we don’t need Him as much.
Letting Him interrupt what feels comfortable to bring us into something deeper.

“I lift up my hands and I fall on my knees…
Surrendering, I’ll sing it—
Lord, have Your way in me.”

If you’ve ever drifted when life was good… and only came back when things got hard, you’re not alone.

Maybe God is not just meeting you in those moments.
Maybe He’s been using them… to bring you closer all along.

🤍

Also, the piano notes aren’t perfect, and neither is the singing…
but I believe God sees the heart behind it and yours too, when it’s honest like this.

I'm beyond grateful for Katy Nichole whose songs have impacted me and my husband so positively for the past few years especially in our health journey. May the Lord continue to use your talent to bless and touch more hearts.

"Big deal in a little body.” Honestly… that’s every child.

Dear God,

Bless the parents (moms and dads) who are doing their best with what they have.

Give patience in the moments that feel overwhelming.

Give clarity when decisions aren’t obvious. Give strength when they feel stretched too thin.

Protect the children we’re raising not just from harm we can see, but from the things that quietly shape them over time.

Teach us when to be firm… and when to be gentle.
And in the middle of the routine, the mess, the repetition, remind us that this work is not small.

It is building something that will outlive us.

Bless every sincere mother or father, in every country, in every situation; those holding their children, those who have lost a child, and those still waiting, hoping, and praying to become one 🤍

In Jesus's name I pray...

Amen.

One way my husband shows love to my dad is by speaking Malagasy with him… ❤️🇲🇬 He’s trying, and I’m so thankful for that.

So for his 70th birthday, Angel chose to share his wishes mostly in Malagasy. Here’s a glimpse of him doing just that.

Before I became Miahy’s mom, I was first this man’s daughter. And now I get to witness something so special; the two most important men in my life loving and respecting each other across cultures, language, and roots.

This is what multicultural love looks like in our family… and I don’t take it for granted.

I can’t help but praise the Lord for that. 🙏

WE CHOSE GOD BEFORE WE CHOSE "US".

Before there was “us,” there was a decision.

To not build our life on feelings.
To not depend on another person to feel whole.
To learn how to walk with God… even when we were walking alone.

Because we both believe being single is where your foundation is built, and honestly… that foundation matters more than the relationship.

If you skip that part, you end up asking someone else to carry what only God can.

We didn’t get it perfect, but we made one thing clear from the beginning: we put God first.

So whether you’re single or in a relationship…the question is the same as Christians: "Who are you building your life around?"

------

🙏Dear God, teach us to choose You first not just in relationships, but in everything. Help us build a life that doesn’t fall apart when people do. And give us the courage to walk with You, even when it may feel lonely. Amen.

If you’re reading this, this is for you too.

"Faith is something my kids choose later." I heard so many people say this.

I respect their opinion, but for me, it starts in small and everyday moments like this.

I am not forcing anything, but I am just genuinely introducing my daughter to something I believe will carry her one day.

Because I know I won’t always be there for everything she’ll face. And honestly… that thought humbles me.

So I’m doing what I can now, in the simplest ways I know how.

If you’re raising a child, you probably get it.
We all just want to give them something solid to hold onto when life gets hard.

For me, that’s faith.

And for every parent out there, whatever that looks like for you…I pray your children are covered, guided, and so much loved.

God,
I don’t know everything my child will face in this world.

But I trust that You’ll be there before I ever am.

Protect her.
Guide her.
Keep her close to You even in the places I can’t go

And for every parent who feels the same way…Lord, I pray You cover their children too.

Amen 🙏

There’s no way we would have made it here.

And the truth is… we are still going through it.

That day we didn’t know how we were going to pay the bills… I know so many people prayed for us.

That day my husband got sick and didn’t have health insurance… I know so many people prayed for him.

That night I cried quietly in the dark, trying to stay strong… I know so many people prayed for me.

And even though things didn’t suddenly become easy, everything is not fixed… but we’re still here, trusting God.

And I believe this with all my heart… so many people are still praying for us.

We know some of them, but there are probably many we don’t even know.

But God hears every prayer.

And He is still making a way for us.

I would encourage you to pray for someone today too.

Maybe a sibling going through a tough health situation, a friend who is grieving a loss, or a neighbor who went through a divorce....

Your prayer could be exactly what they need.

I speak blessings
I speak life into my house
I speak joy into my days
I speak peace into everything around me
I speak blessings
No fear, no lack, no delay
What God promised is coming
I speak it until I see it rise (I speak it right now)

Ooh, some days you wake up
Wondering if anything is shifting
But listen (things grow)
Things grow even in silence
God works even when you feel nothing at all
So don't back down now
(Speak over what looks still)
Speak over what looks stuck
(Your words have weight)
Because God is backing them..
Blessing in my mind
Blessing in my hands
Blessing in my steps
Blessing in my plans
Blessing in my home (blessing)
Blessing everywhere I go (blessing)

I was shocked to be moved so much by this AI-generated song by Delana Hope. I guess God can use anything, even AI in my case, to reveal Himself to me and encourage me.

❓️What has God used lately to draw your attention? For me, it's my been both my husband and worship songs.

This page God is the Author of Love has grown with us 🤍

It started in a season of waiting encouraging others through singleness, faith, and trusting God’s timing.

Then came marriage…learning love in a whole new way.

And now, we’re in a new season raising our daughter, Miahy, and building a life together here in the U.S.

The content may look different over time, but the heart behind it hasn’t changed.

This has always been about love; growing, stretching, and trusting God through every season.

Whether you’re single, married, or now a parent like us…there’s a place for you here.

We’re just sharing the journey as it unfolds.
