Eight years ago, he prayed to meet me…
😝 Anyone who really knows me will tell you this: when it came to choosing my “other half,” I was extremely picky. I wasn’t just looking for someone “nice”; I wanted a man whose heart, values, and walk with God truly lined up with mine.
❤️I even had a list; about 22 very specific “must-haves.” Call it my “prayer list,” call it my “non-negotiables,” but I believed it mattered. I won’t list them all here (we’d be here all day!) but let’s just say I set the bar high because I knew the man I’d share my life with would shape my future family and my faith journey.
👉🏼 And yet, back then love wasn’t a top priority. I was a career-oriented woman, pouring myself into my work, into projects that could impact Madagascar and the people closest to my heart. That was a choice I made joyfully and intentionally.
🙏🏻 Then, a little over 4 years ago, God quietly shifted something inside me. He planted a deep desire to share my life with a man of faith. My sibling and I began to pray about it. What I didn’t know? Somewhere out there, a man had already been praying for five years straight to one day build a home and a life with me.
😱 And the sweetest surprise? When I pulled out my list of 22 “must-haves,” I realized God hadn’t just met them; He far exceeded every single one. What He gave me is better than anything I could have imagined.
😇 He’s always called me his “angel,” and from the start I caught glimpses of Jesus’ character in him. I’m so thankful to God because to me, he truly is my angel and, beautifully enough, his first name is Angel.
✍🏼 For those who don’t know, Jesus is my ultimate role model. We are far from perfect, but we believe it’s God Himself perfect and without flaw who is writing our love story.
🥰 From my heart to yours: Sometimes we ask God for a perfect “20/20,” or A- but He longs to give us something far greater—20/20 with honors (A++++)
✨ When the person you once prayed for becomes the person you now pray with.
