🇲🇬 Independence Day, Madagascar

🥹 June 26 was supposed to be a day of celebration… but I won’t lie—my heart was, and still is, heavy.

😭Right now, so many of my fellow Malagasy people are silently struggling. The hardship has become so normalized that we’ve learned to just complain behind screens—afraid to speak up for fear of prison... or even death.

💔 Daily power outages and water cuts are now part of everyday life. Insecurity is rising fast, and many—including my own family—no longer feel safe. And recently, several heartbreaking deaths—possibly linked to food poisoning—have shaken many communities.

🫶🏼Of course it hurts, but I will never stop loving Madagascar. I’m raising my daughter, Miahy—who is half Malagasy and half Latina-American—to know and love her roots.

🔗In the video I’m linking below, I sing part of our national anthem so she can hear the strength and beauty of where she comes from.
I love teaching her our culture, our language, and our values from an early age.

📍𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵

😱 We’ve wanted to visit the Museum of the Bible for a long time. The premium full experience costs $45.99 per person, which we clearly cannot afford right now since we lost our incomes abruptly. So, we didn’t think we’d get to go anytime soon.

🥹 However, surprisingly, we later found out it’s free on the last Tuesday of every month. After many attempts, we finally went this past Tuesday. It was a huge blessing—a clear reminder that God’s plans are always bigger and better than ours. His timing is perfect, even when we don’t understand the how or when.

♥️ We didn’t get to see everything (baby life, you know haha), but starting with The World of Jesus of Nazareth exhibit was incredible. Walking through a village like the one Jesus lived in made the Bible come alive and filled us with hope.

😍 This visit reminded us that God sees every part of our journey—our struggles, our dreams, and the little blessings along the way. His plan is good, even when we have to wait.

🙏🏽 If you’re waiting on something too, keep trusting. God’s timing is never late.

𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 — 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳

We struggle financially after being laid off abruptly months ago.
We lost our sources of income.
We’ve been sending out job applications for months—and no success.
We don’t know how we’ll pay next month’s rent.

And yet…
We’ve never missed a meal.
God always gave us what we needed.
There’s always been food on our table.
We still have a roof over our heads.
Our daughter, Miahy, is growing healthy and strong—even while many babies around us are battling colds.

God keeps showing up—through friends, church members, family, and even strangers.
People have donated, dropped off groceries, or blessed us in ways we never expected.
We didn’t even ask—but God knew.

To every Christian—whether you’re single and trying to stay faithful in the waiting, or married and trying to hold things together—please hear this: God provides.
Not always in the way we expect. Not always in our timing. But faithfully. Lovingly. Personally.

We’ve cried. We’ve prayed. We’ve questioned.
But we’ve also experienced His kindness in the smallest details.
And that gives us strength to keep going.

If you’re afraid of how you’ll get through this month, what you’ll eat or drink, or how you’ll face tomorrow—
you’re not alone. God sees you. He hasn’t forgotten you.

🫵🏼 Whether you’re a (new) mom, hoping to be one someday, or just a woman going through a season of change with God — I want to share something special that has been dear to my heart with you.

✝️I started a new page/channel called Christian First-Time Mom Diary — a simple, honest space where I share my journey as a first-time mom, and more importantly, as a woman learning to trust Jesus in the everyday unknowns.

🖤If you know me, you know I love to be honest and open about the ups and downs — the joys and struggles — because I believe there’s strength in sharing both. This page / channel
is a reflection of that, coming from this new chapter of my life as a wife, mom, and daughter of the King.

❓ 𝗜𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀? 𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀

💭Is our life perfect as a married Christian couple now with a baby? Of course not. Is our life smooth just because we have Jesus in our marriage? No.

✝️Jesus doesn’t erase the hard days—He carries us through them. He doesn’t stop the storms—He reminds us He’s in the boat with us.

💍 Marriage doesn’t magically become easy because you’re a Christian. It just means you fight differently. You forgive quicker. You pray harder. And you love deeper—not because it’s easy, but because God first loved us.

❤️To our single brothers and sisters: don’t chase the picture-perfect love story—chase Christ. To the married: don’t give up when it gets messy. God is still writing your love story. This is real love. This is God’s love.
