Joshua 1:8
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Sometimes we seek direction from God, yet we live such busy lives that we leave little room to hear what He has already spoken to us in His Word.
Joshua received a very clear instruction: to read, meditate on, and live out what he had learned. It wasn’t about simply opening the book now and then, but about allowing the Word to shape the way he thought, made decisions, and walked through life.
This applies to us as well. The more space we make for the Word, the more we begin to recognize what we need to hold fast to, what needs correcting, and how we should respond to the circumstances of our lives.
Today’s Truth:
God’s Word needs to have a constant place in my life.
Focus:
Making time each day to read, meditate on, and listen to what God wants to teach me.
Victory:
When the Word holds a place in my life, my decisions begin to take a firmer direction.
