Our Motor Officers are in Washington, D.C. for Police Week 2019, to honor and remember fallen officers from across the nation.

Today they participated in escorts for the family members of the fallen officers and it is great that they were able to work with members of the Louisiana State Police Motor Unit to represent all of Louisiana.

Current Stage is estimated to be around 80-81 feet. The water level is rising about a foot per day. Another round of heavy rain will occur through tonight. Based on projections of this rainfall pattern and expected trends on the Red River, a reasonable crest forecast would be around 84-85 feet. The most likely time of the crest would be late next week. This compares to a level of nearly 87 feet during the March, 2016 flood.
