According to first-quarter data from ICE New Orleans, agents have detained more immigrants with no criminal convictions or pending charges compared to the same period last year.

First Quarter data shows a 31% increase in arrests and 24% increase in detentions from ICE New Orleans compared to the same time last year.

FIRST ALERT - TROPICS: NHC is highlighting a new area in the Atlantic. There is a tropical wave coming off the west coast of Africa that will enter favorable conditions for tropical development. For now, development is *possible* & it’s way to get into any kind of tracks yet. This is nothing to be concerned about for now, but something I will be monitoring closely. I will leave the NHC’s text below.

Central Tropical Atlantic:
A tropical wave is forecast to move off the west coast of Africa in
the next day or two. Environmental conditions could support some
gradual development of the wave during the middle to latter part of
next week while it moves generally west-northwestward across the
central tropical Atlantic.
