North central Evangeline Parish in central Louisiana...
Avoyelles Parish in central Louisiana...
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 456 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Cheneyville,
moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
The Tornado Watch is also in effect until 7pm tonight.
The good news is tornado WARNINGS have been cancelled. There are some severe thunderstorm warnings in the listening area that we're keeping on eye on.

There is a Marginal (level 1 out of 5) to Moderate (level 4 out of
5) Risk for severe storms, mainly this afternoon into early evening.
The main hazards will be large hail and damaging downburst wind
gusts, although a quick spin up tornado can not be ruled out.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

Wind Advisory.
Showers and storms will increase by Thursday afternoon and evening.
Heavy rain can be expected with some of the storms. There is
currently a marginal risk (1 of 5) for severe weather for most of
the area Thursday into Friday morning and a Slight Risk (2 of 5) for
the Texas Counties generally north of I-10 and Vernon Parish in
Louisiana. In addition, areas along and north of I-10 will see a
Marginal Risk (1 of 4) for Excessive Rainfall with a Slight Risk (2
of 4) for the lakes region.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Thunderstorms will be ongoing Friday morning with a continued slight
to marginal risk of severe weather in south central Louisiana.
Cold weather is returning to the region, and a light freeze may be
possible Monday morning in central Louisiana.
