Team Lafayette is doing some valuable training as we prepare for a new recruiting year! Our recruiters briefed their market share, lessons learned, and plans of action on how they plan on being successful next year. We also cooked meals together and had some fun by the water as well 🚣🏻🐊

FY24 Recruiting Highlights:
- 12/14 of our Recruiters had their BEST recruiting year ever
- Most recruits enlisted in the last FIVE years
- Hired 4 new AGR Recruiters

One thing this team has is the desire to make things happen. We get results no matter what and we are very excited for our new year!

In August 2018, I had the privilege to recruit my good friend Payton Pilgrim. The following year, I had the honor to be his first salute at his Commissioning Ceremony. Today, I was able to see him take command of G Co, 2-156 in Jeanerette to be their new Company Commander. I am amazed at how fast time flies in this organization.

Effective immediately, National Guard applicants ages 35-42 can now obtain waivers internally within their state while processing for enlistment.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be able to pass a MEPS physical (including drug test)
- Must pass the ASVAB Test
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be in accordance with the Height / Weight Policy (AR 40-501)
- Must be in accordance with the Army Tattoo Policy (AR 670-1)

*This policy is in effect until 29 May 2025*

Another one of my former recruits doing great things for the 769th Brigade Engineer Battalion!

LTC Bendich and CSM Kosick recognize Specialist (SPC) Seth Vergona for his work during XCTC STX lane training. SPC Vergona deep knowledge of combat engineer concepts was key to the successful training and implementation of squad-level tactics with an infantry Platoon followed by support the Infantry Company.

Time and again, SPC Vergona went above and beyond, taking the lead and performing at a level well beyond his rank. He was instrumental in coordinating with infantry leadership, planning missions, and running rehearsals. His smart decisions were crucial to the mission's success and earned high praise from the Observer, Controller, Trainers who oversaw the training lanes.

SPC Vergona's dedication and leadership really stood out, making a huge difference for our team.
