What if you stopped waiting to feel better?

Not because the hard things don't matter. Not because you can simply "think positive" your way through grief, anxiety or exhaustion.

But because sometimes healing starts with participating in your life before you feel ready.

One phone call.
One walk.
One honest conversation.
One more day of refusing to quit on yourself.

Veteran and advocate Kaila Fain shares the lesson that changed the way she thinks about healing—and why waiting for the feelings to change can keep us stuck.

You don't have to feel better first. You just have to take the next step.

Read her powerful perspective. 💙

There was a time when I believed healing would begin the day I finally felt motivated. I thought I’d wake

What if your business doesn't need to look like everyone else's?

Wendy started with $200, an Etsy shop, and a dream. Then a mentor gave her some advice that changed the way she thought about entrepreneurship:

“Be the bracelet queens.”

Sometimes the best business strategy isn't another planner, app or 47-step growth plan. It's figuring out what actually works for your life—and having the courage to build it your way.

Today, we remember Jeanne Gibson, one of the last living "Rosie the Riveters," who passed away at the age of 100.

When our nation called during World War II, Jeanne answered. She helped build destroyers for the U.S. Navy, later supported the U.S. Army Transportation Corps, and spent the decades that followed ensuring the stories of her generation would never be forgotten.

Her life is a reminder that America's military has always been strengthened by remarkable women: those who wear the uniform, those who support the mission from home, and those who answer the call in ways history doesn't always recognize.

At Military Spouse, we know that behind every generation of service are women whose resilience, sacrifice, and determination help make that service possible.

Today, we honor Jeanne Gibson's extraordinary legacy and the countless women whose contributions have strengthened our military community for generations.

Rest in peace, Jeanne. Thank you for showing us what service can look like. 🇺🇸

You can be in a room full of people...
..and still feel like no one really knows you.

For many military spouses—especially during seasons of leadership and visibility—loneliness doesn't come from being left out. It comes from always feeling like you have to be "on."

If you've ever carried that quiet weight, this heartfelt reflection will remind you that you're not alone.

Military life teaches us how to pack boxes.

It doesn't always teach us how to build community.

The truth is, finding your village rarely happens overnight. It starts with a wave to a neighbor, a conversation at the playground, showing up to the same coffee shop, or simply choosing to be present.

If you've ever felt lonely after a PCS or wondered how to build meaningful friendships, this one's for you. ❤️

Military life has a way of teaching us how to start over. Every PCS means learning new roads, finding new
