Meet 13-year-old Joshua Suddith, a rising star who’s just made history in his own right. Accepted to his dream school, Morehouse College, Joshua’s incredible academic achievements have earned him spots at 20 colleges, including Tennessee State University and Miles College.

Joshua’s love for Morehouse started at just 4 years old when he learned that the iconic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who enrolled at Morehouse at 15, was an alumnus. Driven by this inspiration, Joshua set his sights on following in Dr. King’s footsteps, and now, he’s on his way to Morehouse!

The future international relations student started making waves early, reading before the age of 2 and publishing a book by the time he was 3.

Pulse family, show this young leader some love in the comments! 🔥📚

Board-Certified Pediatrician Dr. Hokehe Eko is launching a virtual clinic for children with autism.

The mother of three boasts over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages as well as those on the autism spectrum. She also completed training to conduct autism diagnostic evaluations using the CARS standardized test, her website mentions.

“As a result of my experience, I am better able to differentiate between neuro-typical and neuro-atypical behaviors, and can also help identify if there are other factors at play, such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, intellectual delays, or other medical conditions,” she said on her website.

Based in Oklahoma, Dr. Eko’s virtual clinic, Glow Pediatrics, is now open for consultations and will see patients located in Georgia, Oklahoma, and Maryland within a week, Black News reports. This is significant as the average national wait time for families seeking autism diagnosis evaluation is 27 months, per The Journal of Pediatrics.

FREE Summer Program: IMAG(IN)E’s curriculum is about photography, but it’s also much bigger. it’s about learning to see ourselves within a tradition of black pioneers who’ve forged new ways of seeing and expressing the world around them. that’s to say, IMAG(IN)E is not just about creating pretty images or becoming a master of the camera (although that’s always nice). it’s about deeply understanding the stories that need to be told…and then going out and doing it.

classes will take place every Saturday from July 27th - August 31 at the , and folks who complete the course will walk away with their own 35mm film camera. we are accepting applications through July 12th, so please please please share the link in my bio with your friends, fam, neighbors, crush, colleagues. even share it with your opps. you never know who could be the next Gordon Parks 🤷🏽‍♂️

Elijah Hogan considered dropping out of high school as he struggled with homelessness. For the past two years, he has lived in a youth shelter in New Orleans.

But Hogan doubled down on his studies. So much, in fact, that he graduated as valedictorian of his class at the Walter L. Cohen High School.

“Take pride in how far you have come,” he said during his valedictorian speech May 24th. “Have faith in how far you can go.”

During the past few years, Hogan said he kept those words close to his heart.

“I had to finish my education,” he said. Despite his difficult circumstances, he explained, he was determined to graduate with the rest of his class of 67 students.
