NATIONAL BATHTUB DAY
A great day to reclaim the right to relax at your leisure. Common since ancient times, John Michael Kohler invented the modern bathtub in 1883 when he took a cast-iron horse trough and covered it with an enamel finish. This enameled cast-iron bathtub design became hugely popular and helped launch what some call a "bathing revolution," making personal bathtubs more accessible beyond just the wealthy. The Kohler Company has been primarily in the plumbing business ever since and remains one of the few U.S. manufacturers still making traditional cast iron bathtubs today.

An iced coffee drink that became a hallmark of Greek coffee culture in the 1950s. Supposedly, the frappe was created by a tired Nestle sales representative at the 1957 Thessaloniki Trade Fair who was beset by caffeine cravings but couldn't find access to hot water to make his instant coffee. So he mixed it with cold water and ice, and shook his way to an internationally enjoyed drink.
