🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – PA 33 SOUTH

📍 Northampton County – Stockertown Borough & Palmer Township

Beginning Monday, September 14, traffic changes are scheduled on PA 33 South between PA 191 and Main Street (Tatamy) as part of the ongoing Route 33 over Bushkill Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

🔴 What to expect:
• PA 33 South will be reduced to one lane.
• Southbound traffic will be shifted across a median crossover onto the PA 33 North side.
• The PA 33 South entrance ramp from PA 191 will be closed and detoured.
• The PA 33 South exit ramp to Main Street (Tatamy) will also be closed and detoured.

➡️ Detour: Main Street (Tatamy) → Sullivan Trail → Main Street (Stockertown) → PA 191

📅 Expected: September 14 – October 19, 2026

🚧 ROUTE 378 RESURFACING PROJECT – BETHLEHEM

PennDOT will begin a major resurfacing project on Route 378 in the City of Bethlehem starting Tuesday, September 8th.

📍 Project limits: US 22 to the Hill-to-Hill Bridge

🛠️ Work will include milling and paving, concrete and base repairs, bridge deck repairs and overlay, guide rail upgrades, and new pavement markings. Work will also take place on ramps at Catasauqua Road, 8th Avenue, and the Center City exit.

🌙 Overnight Lane Restrictions:
Beginning September 8, Route 378 will have lane restrictions in both directions Sunday through Thursday, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

⚠️ Work is expected to continue through November, with construction resuming in the spring.

💰 The project is valued at approximately $12.87 million and is expected to be completed in December 2027.

Drivers should use caution, expect overnight delays, and allow extra travel time through the work zone.

The crash on US-22 Eastbound at the Fullerton Avenue Exit has been cleared.

The exit ramp and shoulder were blocked during the incident. Traffic should be returning to normal.

The exit ramp is CLOSED, and the shoulder is blocked due to a motorcycle crash.
