Had the joy of working with Elaheh Farmand today, recording beautiful meditational music in Farsi as a tribute to her Persian heritage. She played a Shruti Box — an instrument rooted in Indian tradition. For my fellow audio geeks: I paired an AKG C414 B-ULS in figure-8 on the Shruti Box with an SM7B on vocals to minimize bleed. Couldn’t be happier with the vibe we captured.
