Hi Michigan friends! Apologies for the gap in videos, we welcomed our son into the world on June 1st and were discharged from the NICU last week, singing praises for a healthy baby boy now at home with us. Once we catch up on sleep and settle into a routine, I'll have plenty more videos on the way! Thank you to everyone who's reached out, commented, engaged, and shared great spot recommendations. You never know what hidden gems you’ll find in small towns 👀

Johnny’s Grab & Go Sliders inside the Shell gas station at the corner of m21 and m53 in Imlay City completely caught me off guard.

A FULL slider joint and more built into a gas station serving sliders, fries, and a walking taco that was basically an entire bag of Doritos loaded up with toppings 🔥

Honestly one of the more unexpected food finds I’ve had lately 😂 Definitely worth checking out if you’re local or passing through Imlay City!

I finally tried dirty soda (for the first time!!) at Happy Fizz during their first annual Fizz Fest today in 📍Almont… and now I understand why people are obsessed with these 👀🥤

If you’ve never had one before, think specialty soda mixed with flavors, cream, lemonades, and energy drinks all customized!

It both left me pleasantly surprised and excited to try another!

Why choose between cookies or ice cream when you can have both? 🍪🍦

Stopped by Kookys N Cream in Lapeer and tried their peanut butter vanilla ice cream along with the birthday cake cookie sandwich… and this place genuinely does dessert differently than anywhere I’ve been before 👀

The peanut butter vanilla ice cream was super creamy with cookie blended throughout it, not just sprinkled on top. The way they incorporate the cookie INTO the ice cream gives it this rich, soft texture in every bite that makes it stand out from your typical ice cream shop.

And the birthday cake cookie sandwich was just as good. Soft cookies, loaded with sprinkles, sweet frosting in the middle, and honestly one of those desserts that instantly brings you back to being a kid 😂

Definitely a fun local dessert spot worth checking out this summer or sooner! 🙌

Okay… this might be one of the most unique dessert spots I’ve visited in a while 👀🍪🍦

Stopped by Kookys N Cream in Lapeer on Thursday and I’m not exaggerating when I say their approach to ice cream and these GIANT cookie sandwiches are completely different than anything I’ve tried before. This massive cookie was literally larger than my hand, and the way they use cookies incorporated into their ice cream… Don’t get me started! 🤤 The cookie isn’t just a topping… it’s literally blended throughout the ice cream itself and gives it an unreal texture.

I stopped by Krave Restaurant in Lapeer, MI and had to try their Strawberry Dubai chocolate French toast 👀🔥

This was such a fun and unique brunch item, loaded with chocolate, pistachio flavor, and that signature Kataifi crunch that makes Dubai chocolate so popular right now.

Definitely not something I expected to find in Lapeer, but I’m glad I did!

Stopped by Timmer’s Maryland Chicken in Imlay City after hearing from so many of you that they have some of the best fried chicken, fish, and Mac & Cheese around 👀

They’ve been serving the Imlay City community for over 29 years, so I had to check them out and see what makes this spot such a local staple.

Stopped into Heavenly Sweets Coffee & Pastries YH in Imlay City and this one surprised me 👀

The Dubai chocolate cookie was unreal — crunchy with that pistachio + chocolate drizzle and a crispy kataifi center that gives it that signature Dubai chocolate crunch 🍫

The cookie butter bliss coffee was refreshing with a nice sweet kick from the whipped cream and cookie on top ☕

Both were great, but I’ve gotta give it to them… the cookie stole the show ❤️

PS: for those wondering, kataifi is finely shredded filo dough mixed with a bunch of yummy ingredients!
