Due to COVID restrictions, she wasn’t able to join Nick back home. Instead, he went to her. Chris McMullan (Hope with Mr.M) is equipping himself with his strong belief in people as he embarks on his career as a Therapist. It is from that strong belief in people that he started to notice that his patients have started to feel hopeful and energetic with positivity. While his intent is for the patient to have a new approach to life, he finds himself in awe with every patient.

Chris McMullan (Hope with Mr.M) joins me on this week’s Keoni Chats. Chris is a native Irishman who made the risky decision to move to Oregon after spending a summer in a small beach town. As he settled into his new life, he met his wife and began his path toward becoming a therapist.

Chris specializes in solution-focused therapy and uses hope as a foundation to inspire his patients. His work is centered on helping children, and although he is still building his practice, we talk about the different ways he’s gaining experience and the next steps he has planned.

If you meet Geleen Abenjoa outside of Shop Halo Halo, you’ll find she’s naturally shy and introverted. That part of her personality carries into her work at the bakery—but for her customers, she steps outside her comfort zone with genuine warmth and care.

As Shop Halo Halo began to grow, Geleen found herself in the spotlight, taking on interviews and gaining media attention she never expected. While she appreciates the recognition, she’s happiest when her baked goods speak for themselves.

Geleen Abenjoa was on track for a nursing career in Washington when she decided to change course and pursue baking in Portland. While it took her family some time to adjust to her new path, their support has steadily grown as her career has flourished.
