Pretty little rock I found in Lake Superior gets a tumble.

I went out rock hunting on Lake Superior with my friend Dan and his son. I don't tumble my agate finds, but I did get every other rock that I brought home tumbled, so you can see what they look like right after I find them in the video. Here's a link to Dan's channel: https://www.youtube.com/

We really enjoyed our day at the Besser Museum in Alpena. It was fun to be able to put faces with names of people I have exchanged messages with for many years, in some cases. Of course, meeting new followers was also great. A huge thank you to all of you who drove a long distance to say hi. I appreciate it. Hopefully no one expects me to remember too much of our conversation because I talked to a lot of people and it's all kind of blending together in my head now.

Nancy sold quite a few books, and she's thankful for that too.

If you have selfies with us, post them here!

Highland Park just sent me their 14" HighTone slab saw to review. In the process, I slabbed five beautiful Michigan rocks and also one other rock from Mexico. Even if you're not in the market for a saw, I think you'll enjoy seeing the insides of these rocks.

This video is sponsored by Highland Park Lapidary. I make a commission if you buy something through this link, but doesn't cost you extra.

Let's see how this nice rock from Lake Superior polishes up.

I finally did it. I opened an Etsy shop. There’s not too much there yet, and we’re still figuring out how it all works. Nancy is doing a lot of the work, making all the listings and doing the shipping. My part is making the products and taking pictures of them. Go check it out and let us know what you think. https://michiganrocksbyrob.etsy.com

Also this coming Saturday, October 4, Nancy and I will be at the Besser Museum in Alpena for Fall Festival. I won’t be selling any rocks there, but I’ll bring a few things to display. https://www.bessermuseum.org/upcoming-events

Craig the Geologist and I spent a day at Thompson's State Park looking for rocks and identifying them. We also found some interesting artifacts from something that happened there in the past. Maybe you can help us figure out the mystery.
